Thailand – Considering Full-Time Travel, Embracing The Change
Anaïs Nin said: “We see the world not as it is, but as we are.”
Back in 2018 we travelled to Thailand. It was our first trip together. At the time we had a pretty comfortable life, but really the only thing on our minds was to pack our bags and go explore foreign lands.
It was in Thailand that we asked ourselves the question: “What life would be like, if we travelled full time?”.
Since then we visited many other places, but we always came back home. But what if you don’t have this one place that you call home anymore? What if the world becomes your true home?
Travelling full time is a dream for many people. The idea of leaving behind the constraints of a traditional lifestyle, the routine of a nine-to-five job is incredibly appealing.
It is also a great opportunity to test yourself in unusual situations and a chance for self-development. Leaving your comfort zone may be difficult, but it allows you to truly discover yourself.
Furthermore, travelling full time provides a sense of freedom and independence that is difficult to replicate in a traditional lifestyle.
The ability to pick up and go whenever and wherever one pleases, to follow your own path and create your own life, is incredibly liberating. There are no schedules to keep, no deadlines to meet, and no obligations to fulfil.
Travelling full time allows you to live on your own terms, to prioritise experiences over possessions, and to embrace a minimalist and nomadic way of life. Life of constant change. A change that eventually becomes the norm and some kind of stability.
It was in Thailand that we got the idea of such a nomadic way of life for ourselves. Suddenly we discovered a new path, more tempting than any other scenarios.
You may ask yourself, are there any potential challenges and drawbacks that come with this kind of lifestyle? I’m sure there are, but at this point the idea of travelling full time seemed to be so enticing, that we were ready to jump in, no matter the obstacles we might find on our way.
And here we go. Ready for another journey. Ready to embrace another change.
